Contest to Win a Free Horse Book!


Vote in my Book Cover Contest and have your name entered in a drawing for a free copy of the book - Beloved Horses in Second Careers. Follow these steps; no cost to enter:

  • Reply to this blog with a comment stating your choice of which horse looks best on the cover (from the selection here - the name is under the photo). Include your e-mail.
  • Your name will automatically be entered in the drawing to be held on July 6th at the Madeira Beach (FL) Library during a children’s program I’m conducting.
  • If your name is pulled, I’ll contact you for your address to ship the FREE book when it’s released this fall.
  • Anyone may enter (children under 18 must have parent’s permission) but only enter ONCE.

It's hard to choose, but I think the photo of Miko flauting a blue ribbon while his owner beams beside him best sums up the idea of a horse enjoying a successful second career with a happy owner.

The nokota without a doubt! This represents an entire breed that is on its second career- first having been the isolated and cruelly treated horse of the northern plains once the horses were deemed undesirable
