Sir Captain Curri C. Tuck

Sir Captain Curri C. Tuck by James C. Butz is a children's book about a pirate - actually a Privateer. But there are wild horses from North Carolina in it, so I thought I'd review it here.

It's a legend about a young boy who is shipwrecked on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and he makes friends with the wild ponies and a dog he names Sea Dog. Later he grows up to be a captain but he allows no bullies on his ship.

The story promotes kindness, teaches children about history and includes beautiful artwork by Kaileen Schleith.

Visit the author's site at http://www.blunderbusskrewe.com/ to learn more and order the book.

I met Jim Buntz at an event in Florida and he had the most decorative booth, including his pirate outfit!
