Two Equine Shorts by Sasscer Hill

If you like equine mystery stories, then this author is a must read! Sasscer Hill wrote Venomous and Pretty Fraudulent and both short stories will have you craving for more, so check out her other books.

Both have a female protagonist who happens upon bad guys trying to do bad things in an equine setting. Since they are short, I won't give the tales away. The author not only gives a realistic horsey background, but also writes clearly with excellent descriptions, characters and dialog.

Enjoy the ride, however brief, and then read her novels!

The Carousel Pony

The Carousel Pony by Judith Victoria Douglas is a magical story about a young horse-loving girl named Sadie. She and her dad visit a carousel so her dad can take photos for an exhibit. When Sadie is allowed to ride one horse, she sees him wink at her and then whisper. The background about the ponies on the carousel is revealed, and the unpredictable ending is sure to please.

This delightful children's book will captivate young listeners and readers alike. The illustrations are excellent as well!
